1 October Old days of the World.

Today is Sunday 1 October Old days of the World. Like other countries of the world, this day is being observed in Bangladesh as well as through various programs. In 1990, the United Nations decided to celebrate International Day on October 1 every year. Apart from ensuring the protection and rights of the elders, as well as creating public awareness about old age, since 1991, this day has started to be celebrated.

 
The theme of this day is: - 'Future Advancing: Ensure the skill, contribution and participation of senior citizens in society'. President on the occasion of the old days. Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave separate statements.
 
Different organizations have organized different programs on the occasion of the day. At present, there are about 1.35 million people in Bangladesh who are senior or senior citizens. By the year 2025, the number of elders will be approximately 1.8 million. In the year 2050, about 430 million people and 2061 will be around 550 million people, according to the executive director of the senior friend Dr. Mohsin Kabir Limon said.
